Corfu Airport

Corfu Airport, officially Corfu International airport Ioannis Kapodistrias, is an important international and commercial airport in Greece. The airport is on the most northerly Ionian island of the same name, close to the Albanian Greek border coast in the Ionian Sea by the town of Kerkyra. The airport is administered by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, which is also responsible for monitoring Greek aerospace. International flights to Corfu are operated as sasonal charter as well as scheduled flights by companies such as Monarch, Thomson Airways, Thomas Cook from many airports in the UK. Most flights are seasonal, bringing holidaymakers to the beach resorts, hotels and appartments mainly as part of package deals from a number of European cities. From the UK, flights leave from London, Birmingham and the East Midlands for instance.
