We flew to Frankfurt with Lufthansa and arrived at Flughafen airport, which is Germany's largest airport and one of the busiest in Europe. It is located about 15 minutes by train from the centre of Frankfurt. The airport is quite nice and organised, with some interesting shops to browse in before you go through security. There are two terminals which are connected by the "Sky Line". The train station is connected to Terminal 1, which is where Lufthansa flights (and other Star Alliance airlines) arrive.

It's very pretty and picturesque. Great or a day trip, but don't stay too long or you'll get bored quick.

It is en excellent to experience the Christmas Markets. You get a glimpse into hundreds of years of history and tradition while also experiencing the modern culture. (And, of course, the food is not to be missed!)

Botanical gardens in the northwest of the city. Most of Frankfurt's students have free entry.

Great place for social activities, sun-bathing in the spring and summer, walking, jogging, biking or pic-nic. Prefered spot for weekend activities in the city (considering everything else will be closed since Saturday at 2:00pm). Festivals are held here, and boat races too. Don't miss walking along the banks of the river Main.
