Airport Dusseldorf
Düsseldorf Airport (officially called Düsseldorf International Airport) is located north of Düsseldorf, the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia and is the third largest airport in Germany. About 300 flights are handled at the airport every day. The flight Munich – Dusseldorf is particularly popular and is currently operated about 20 times per day by Air Berlin and Lufthansa. Air Berlin also operate flights from Dusseldorf to Hamburg and Dresden several times a day as well as flying to London. British Airways offer flights from Düsseldorf to London with Flybe serving other UK cities and providing the flights Düsseldorf-Birmingham and Düsseldorf Manchester.

The site has more than 20,000 parking spaces: the terminal car parks P1 to P3, P7 and P8 (a total of 10,000 parking spaces), the car parks P4, P5 and P22 (more than 6,800 parking spaces) and long stay parking at Duesseldorf airport in car parks P23 to P25. Passengers are advised to book long stay car parks early. Parking fees differ in the various parking zones. There is no free parking at the airport and even stays of 15 minutes or less in the short stay parking will be charged.
Getting to and from the airport by public transport is possible by train to the airport train station which is served by both Intercity trains and regional as well as commuter trains. From here passengers can take the SkyTrain which takes about seven minutes to reach the terminal. The S-Bahn S11 stops at the "Airport Terminal" station, which is directly beneath the terminal. Buses serving Dusseldorf airport are the 721, 760 and SB51 which all stop directly in front of the arrivals area, and the bus numbers 729, 759 and 776 stopping at the airport station.
